Run Lola Run is more than an exciting, fast-paced action film, it carries with it so many interesting ideas and questions about how incidental life is. I don't necessarily believe that everything happens to you "for a reason" but I do believe that the chaos of life hands you both good and bad in a seemingly random, but actually connected delivery of events. Because Lola bumped into Mr. Myer's car, he didn't crash into the thugs, and drove Lola's Dad away before Lola could ask Dad for money. A bad event affected something else which averted a worse event. It doesn't do to think about that kind of thing too much, but it's interesting to look at your own life and acknowledge how fragile it is.
