Team Fortress Classic is a free add-on for Half-Life from the creators of the original Team Fortress mod that took the action gaming community by storm in 1996 and has since been downloaded by more than 500,000 people.

This enhanced port takes advantage of the underlying technology of the Half-Life engine and features a wide variety of character classes--from Medic to Spy to Demolition Man--enlisted in a unique style of online team warfare. Team Fortress Classic also features several innovative team play options usually reserved for real time strategy games. In addition, this free add-on includes enhanced graphics, an updated user interface, and ten entirely new maps. TFC continually updates itself, with new maps, play enhancements and network code improvements.

A play alot of TFC because it's so addictive. There are so many different things that can happen in a game, simply because you're playing against real people, and real people aren't predictable in the least. I also laugh alot because of the comical nature that people are represented on screen. In short, TFC is fun, play it!

I like to change the sounds in the game, to make it funnier. For example, instead of a normal pain sound when hit, someone will make the sound of a Three Stooges Slap or nose honk. It's very funny, especially when several happen in a row. I've put the sounds here for you to try out. All you do is create a directory called:

and save these WAV files into it (keeping their names intact). If you don't like the new sounds, you can delete them and your old ones will return. I also added two death sounds - death2 is the medic infection sound and death5 is some evil guy laughing.
